At Simeon Bateman we really believe in looking after our customers. We are a family business with a 220 year history. We have 12 members of staff with experience totaling over 190 years in timber. The business is owned by Ken Hughes who himself has 44 years of experience in the timber and  the building industry. Ken was first employed for six months in 1970 working for the then owner Mr Jim Bateman who was in partnership with Mr J A Wase-Rogers. In 1987 Ken was asked would he like to work for this company again and after a lot of persusion Ken said yes. He was employed as a foreman. Swiftly moving through the ranks Ken purchased the company in June 1997 and successfully re-located the business to a more modern premises.
