Movement - Medium to large.
Durability - Moderately Durable.
Treatability - Moderately resistant at least.
Workability - Fairly difficult owing to grain and gum.
Uses - Heavy construction, vehicle building, decking and sleepers.
Look - Straight grain or shallowly interlocked. The texture is moderately coarse and even texture. Pinkish brown to dark brown in colour. Also it has a rather characterless appearance.The heavy gum deposits cause problems in machining.
